Just in time for Toy Fair 2013, Barbiecollector.com showcased two more dolls in their shop with a vintage flair! Ken and Barbie "as" Batman and Catwoman. Batman looks like your typical Ken doll from the 60s but Barbie does resemble one of the actresses who potrayed Catwoman in the series, Lee Meriwether. Ok, maybe the resemblance is wishful thinking on my part but maybe a teensiest bit?
Don't worry if you want to buy but don't have enough funds, you can order them now from the shop for 34.95 each but they won't be available till June.

I liked Julie Newmar as Catwoman best ;-)
ReplyDeleteMy guess is Mattel didn't want to create a shorter body for Robin ... although, I would have used a HSM boy body, if I were them. Sigh.
I like the Batman costume ... maybe I would get him on sale ....
Some say it looks like Julie Newmar, some think Lee Meriwether. An HSM body would definitely work.
